Monsoon Madness in Meghalaya

The name Meghalaya means ‘abode of clouds’ in sanskrit. It is also known as the Scotland of the East. Meghalaya has abundant rainfall and sunshine around the year and is considered to be one of the richest botanical habitats in Asia. The state has a number of valleys, highland plateaus and lush green hills and is speckled with big waterfalls.

Meghalaya receives the highest rainfall in the world!
